Furnish your living room and charge your electric car at the same time - Numbat launches project phase with JYSK

JYSK, a Danish interior design company, and Numbat, a Kempten-based cleantech company, have partnered to expand the fast-charging infrastructure for electric cars in Germany. Under this partnership, customers shopping at JYSK will be able to charge their electric cars at a Numbat system with up to 300 kW at selected locations, while being inspired by Scandinavian-style furnishing ideas. This move is aimed at promoting electromobility in Germany and integrating charging into the shopping experience.

According to Christian Schirmer, JYSK Country Director, the deployment of the first Numbats in Germany from autumn 2024 is a project phase to gain experience for the further expansion of the charging infrastructure at JYSK. He further explains that they are happy to have found a partner in Numbat that will take care of all aspects of the charging infrastructure, from project planning to installation and operation.

Martin Schall, the Managing Director of Numbat, also expressed his delight, saying that the combination of retail and charging is ideal, and that turning shopping time into loading time ensures that the shop is optimally integrated into everyday life. He added that they are pleased to have JYSK as their first partner in the interior design sector.
