New cooperation
The cooperation is intended to sustainably advance the expansion of the fast charging infrastructure in the Allgäu region.
With a long-term cooperation, Allgäuer Überlandwerk GmbH and Numbat GmbH want to offer Allgäu companies and customers the best possible supply of High-Power Charging stations for electric cars. High-Power Chargers are ultra-fast chargers that can charge cars up to 80% in 15 minutes. The startup Numbat relies on a technological combination of charging station and battery storage, which allows installation at any location regardless of the grid connection output, and also even relieves grids, as well as supports energy management in the company. “For corporate customers of AÜW, we also offer free electricity analysis and consulting to transparently show the savings which can be made by installing the Numbat,” says co-founder and CEO Martin Schall.
The expansion of the charging infrastructure is one of the essential tasks of e-mobility, which Michael Lucke, Managing Director of AÜW, reaffirms. “I am sure that the topic of charging will soon be part of everyday life. As a future-oriented company, we already operate more than 100 charging points in the Allgäu region in the area of normal and fast chargers. The cooperation with Numbat is the next important step for a consistent expansion in the area of ultra-fast chargers. We are very pleased that we supply the charging points with 100% green electricity and map the technical processing of the charging and payment transactions via our system. This ensures that these innovative charging points are reliably available to all e-mobility users on the public charging network.”
The issue of sustainability plays a key role for both companies. The fast charging points are therefore supplied either by AÜW with 100% green electricity from the Allgäu region or, in the case of existing PV systems, from self-generated energy. In both cases, this makes fast charging even more sustainable and greener.
About Numbat
The cleantech startup from the Allgäu region combines three worlds with its patented technology: A High-Power Charger (HPC) for the trendy topic of e-mobility, an integrated battery storage system for energy management solutions in companies, and all this with an environmentally friendly approach to comba climate change.
